BMW: Q1 net profit soars to E10,185m

3% to 31,142 million euros in Q1 2022 (compared to 26,778 million euros in 2021).
This significant increase is in part thanks to the full consolidation of BBA.
Due to the full consolidation of BBA, its financial result increased significantly to 8,836 million euros (vs. just 732 million euros a year ago).
Earnings before taxes (EBT) increased to 12,227 million euros (2020 3,757 million euros; +225.4%), with its EBT margin increasing to 39.3 % (2021: 14.0 %). 2,367 million (2021: 2,236 million/+5.9%).
Net profit reached 10,185 million euros (2021 2,833 million euros/+259.5 %).
However, the group said that deliveries in the Automotive segment are expected to be the same level as last year, with its EBIT margin still expected at around 7%-9%.
BMW shares are currently up 1.8%, as it happens bang in line with the market in Frankfurt.
