BMW: sales up 17.9% at end-September

(CercleFinance.com) - The German premium carmaker delivered 1,932,236 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles to its customers in the year to end-September, up 17.
9% y-o-y.

All brands recorded sales growth in all regions of the world.

BMW Group sold 231,576 electric vehicles worldwide between January and September (+98.9%). In the third quarter, sales of all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles climbed 43.1% y-o-y to 78,333 units.

Management says that it is confident in its ability to achieve its ambitious sales targets and deliver solid, profitable growth for 2021, adding that it has more than doubled sales of fully electric vehicles since the beginning of the year - therefore underlining its impressive electro offensive.

Investors greeted these numbers and comments, with the BMW share up over 1.5% in early trading today.
