BMW Group: posts record sales for January, up 0.5%
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW Group said that it has had its strongest-ever start to a year in 2019, achieving record sales, despite headwinds that are affecting some of its markets.
The German premium car maker said that deliveries in January increased by 0.5% to 170,463 vehicles, a record for that month.
Sales of BMW brand vehicles increased by 0.8% to 149,616 vehicles, while deliveries of Mini brand vehicles slipped 0.7%, it said.
Once again growth was lifted by its largest market - China - where total sales jumped by 15.5% over the past month, the group said.
