BMW: global sales rise 1.7% in October

7% to 200,883 units in October, a new record for that month, despite a "challenging" economic and political context, the company said on Wednesday.
BMW brand sales rose 1.6% to 171,131 cars, while Mini brand sales increased by 2.1% to 29,418 cars. October deliveries of electric vehicles leapt 38.4% to 13,016 units.
For the first 10 months of the year, BMW said that group car sales are up 1.3% to over 2 million cars. Electrified sales are up over 40% year-to-date.
Shares were up 2% on the news.
