BMW: global sales rise 5.2% in November

2% to 220,649 units in November, led by strong demand for the new BMW 5 Series, the company said on Monday.
BMW brand sales rose 4.8% to 186,346 cars, while Mini brand sales increased 7.6% to 33,993 cars, driven by the hybrid Mini Countryman, the German manufacturer of premium vehicles said.
For the first 11 months of the year, BMW said group car sales were up 3.6% at 2.23 million vehicles.
"Strong demand for our new BMW 5 Series shows just how popular this new model is with customers around the globe," said Ian Robertson, BMW board member responsible for sales and brand.
BMW shares are currently down 0.1% at 85.4 euros, compared with a 0.1% gain on the German DAX index.
