BMW: US group sales down 11% in May.
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW has announced that in May its US group sales decreased by 11% to 25,818 vehicles, on the back of a continuing shrinking market.
While SUV sales held strong last month, the flagship 3 Series line saw sales drop 39.6% to 4,453 vehicles.
For the month of May, Mini USA reported 4,060 automobiles sold, down 11.6%.
These numbers were presented as US auto sales fell for the fifth month in a row in May, slipping by around 1 percent.
Year-to-date, the BMW brand's sales are down 3.6% in the US, on sales of 120,124 vehicles compared to 124,581 sold over the first five months of 2016.
