Julius Baer: creates new direct private investment unit
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss private bank Julius Baer is creating a new unit, launching an offering for direct private investments such as private equity and private debt for its ultra high net worth clients.
The new offering, which concerns investments outside the traditional stockmarket, is designed for its very wealthy and sophisticated private banking clients looking for investment opportunities in unlisted or illiquid assets, the wealth manager said.
The unit will be led by UBS' Giuseppe De Filippo, who will join the bank, together with a team of several experts on 1 October, Julius Baer said.
