Nestlé: launches plant-based coffee lattes in Japan
(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé is launching a range of coffee lattes crafted with plant-based ingredients in Japan, as the Swiss food giant seeks to capitalise on the rapidly growing interest for vegan and vegetarian diets in the country.
The coffee mixes, made with oat milk and almond milk, include ready-to-drink beverages, instant-coffee powder, and capsules for its popular Nescafé machines, the company said.
The move follows earlier launches of plant-based coffee across a number of countries in Europe or Latin America, Nestlé said.
Yesterday, the world's biggest packaged food company announced that it would launch a vegan KitKat in 2021, made from 100% sustainable cocoa.
