Nestlé: invests in a packaging fund
(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé has announced that it has made a 30 million dollar investment in Closed Loop Leadership Fund, a private equity fund for the transition from the use of virgin to recycled food grade plastics in the US.
This investment is the first to use the packaging venture capital fund established by Nestlé this year as part of its overall investment of up to 2 billion Swiss francs to accelerate the development of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.
Through its investment, Nestlé will have access to recycled plastic raw materials processed by companies in which the Fund will invest in order to obtain higher volumes of food grade recycled plastics for its packaging.
