Nestlé: to reorganise IT division
(CercleFinance.com) - After a detailed review, Nestlé this morning announced the reorganisation of its IT division to take advantage of its existing technology center in Spain, amongst other sites, it said in a statement.
The agri-food giant believes that this new organisation should result in about 500 redundancies in this division in Switzerland over the next 18 months. Production sites will not be affected. Nestlé adds that these measures should also improve its "operational efficiency".
Nestlé also says that its subsidiary Nespresso plans to establish dedicated operating centers in Spain and Portugal, which will benefit from Nestlé centres that have already been established in the areas of e-commerce and the supply chain. This will also occur in Italy, where the creation of a centre of excellence for operational activities (of) boutiques is planned.
