Geberit: sales down 2% to CHF3.392m
(CercleFinance.com) - Geberit today presented 2022 results, acknowledging "a very difficult business year".
For the group, the war in Ukraine, the sharp increase in inflation worldwide, raw material and energy costs and exchange rate developments had an extremely negative impact on results.
Given these conditions and the records set the previous year, Geberit was nevertheless able to post good results in 2022, Geberit said, however.
Geberit's 2022 net sales slipped 2% to 3,392 million Swiss francs.
Operating cash flow (EBITDA) decreased by 15% to 909 million Swiss francs, i.e. an EBITDA margin of 26.8%.
Compared to the operating results, net income decreased less than proportionately by 6.5% to 706 million Swiss francs. This corresponds to a 20.8% return on net sales.
