Geberit: interim sales down almost 10%
(CercleFinance.com) - Geberit has reported H1 2020 sales of 1,468 million Swiss francs, down 9.
8% as reported and down 4.5% adjusted for FX factors.
The sanitary equipment maker explains that, in addition to negative currency effects, its performance was hit by the Covid-19 crisis - particularly in Q2, with the restrictions imposed to combat the pandemic.
Due to ongoing uncertainties, the Swiss group currently considers it impossible to make forecasts for the construction sector. However, it believes that it is well positioned to emerge stronger from the global economic crisis.
