Logitech: expands in the gaming market with acquisition.
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss computer mouse maker Logitech International has agreed to acquire Astro Gaming, a US maker of headsets for video game users, in exchange for 85 million dollars in cash.
With the addition of Astro, Logitech says it is investing in an adjacent industry — the console gaming market — to help accelerate the long-term growth of its gaming business.
In fiscal year 2018, the acquisition of Astro should add approximately two points of sales growth for the group.
The transaction is set to be closed in early August.
