Dufry: Sweden concessions renewed for seven years.
(CercleFinance.com) - Dufry has won the tender for store operations in eight Swedish airports managed by Swedavia for another seven years, the Swiss travel retailer said on Tuesday.
The Basel-based group said that it has managed Swedavia's tax and duty-free stores through its Nuance subsidiary for the past 16 years, operating 14 stores with a total retail space of 5,950 m2.
With the win, Dufry will now be able to open a new 2,000 m2 walkthrough store in the Stockholm-Arlanda T5 marketplace as from 2021, as part of an investment program, which will see all existing stores refurbished over 2018-2019.
