ABB: Q3 sales edge up but EPS dives 85%

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB has announced Q3 revenues of 7 billion dollars, up 4% LFL and y-o-y.


Income from operations reached 852 million dollars over the period, a 12-fold increase from Q3 2020 (71 million dollars).

Net income attributable to ABB came in at 652 million dollars, down 86% from Q3 2020, or EPS of 0.33 dollar (-85%).

"Our cash generation was very strong, leaving ample headroom on our balance sheet to support both organic growth and acquisitions as well as rewarding shareholders," said ABB's CEO, Björn Rosengren.

Overall, the market has nodded in reaction to these results, while not appearing over-excited, with the share up about 0.25% in early trading on Thursday.
