ABB: rebrands Baldor industrial motors unit
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss engineering giant ABB said on Tuesday that it would integrate into its global brand the name of Baldor, a North American maker of industrial motors that the group took over in 2011.
As from 1 March, the ABB brand will be applied to all of Baldor's manufacturing, sales and support facilities, box designs and purchase orders, it said.
ABB said the decision is part of a strategy that is aimed at harmonizing different owned brands under the global ABB master brand.
