Holcim: completes acquisition of Cantillana
(CercleFinance.com) - Holcim announced on Thursday that it has completed the acquisition of Cantillana, a Belgian building materials producer, whose sales are expected to reach around 80 million euros this year.
Based in Deurle, in the Flemish region, Cantillana produces masonry mortars for insulation and façade finishing from nine sites in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
The group employs over 200 people.
Holcim said that this acquisition will strengthen its position in Europe, particularly in building renovation and energy efficiency.
The financial terms of the transaction were not provided.
