Holcim: completes $1bn sale of Brazilian operations
(CercleFinance.com) - Holcim announces that it has completed the sale of its Brazilian operations to CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional) for an enterprise value of 1.
025 billion dollars, following the transaction's approval by the Brazilian authorities.
The company said that this transaction includes its five integrated cement plants, four grinding stations, six aggregates sites and 19 ready-mix concrete facilities.
However, the company says that Latin America is still a key strategic growth region for Holcim, having recently expanded its aggregates business into El Salvador, Ecuador and Colombia, as well as its Disensa retail network.
