Adecco: announces a slowdown in growth
(CercleFinance.com) - At an investor day organised in London, Adecco will give an update on its strategy, having mentioned a slowdown in growth.
On this occasion, the Swiss temporary work giant said that in July and August, the first two months of the third quarter, its organic growth in sales (adjusted for calendar effects) reached 2%. In addition, growth in volumes at the beginning of September decelerated relative to July and August, the group added. Performance in continental Europe is an issue, where economic growth is slowing down. It mentioned Germany, although performance in France seems to have picked up.
CEO Alain Dehaze mentioned market conditions that are more difficult than expected, and said that steps have already been taken to counter these effects.
As a reminder, Adecco's organic growth, adjusted for the number of working days, was 4% in the second quarter.
