Credit Suisse: shareholders approve second dividend payment
(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse said on Friday that its shareholders have approved the second distribution of the 2019 dividend, allowing full payment of the dividend for the past financial year.
At today's extraordinary general meeting, shareholders approved at an overwhelming 99.4% majority the second dividend of 0.1388 Swiss francs per share, the company said.
The approval will result in the distribution of the full dividend of 0.2776 Swiss franc per share for 2019, as originally planned by the Swiss private bank.
In April, shareholders already approved an initial distribution of 0.1388 Swiss franc per share.
The split into two payments was proposed to shareholders following a request by Swiss regulators, amid the Covid-19 crisis.
