(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse, Switzerland's second biggest bank, has raised 4.
1 billion Swiss francs (approximately 3.8 billion euros) in a rights issue aimed at strenghtening the group's finances.
On 7 June, 99.2% of the rights had been exercised by the shareholders and 390,206,406 newly issued registered shares had been subscribed to.
Credit Suisse said it plans to sell on the market the 3,026,166 newly issued registered shares whose rights have not been exercised.
The newly issued registered shares are listed and can be traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange as from this morning.
On Zurich's SMI index, this morning Credit Suisse shares were down 0.2% at 13.2 Swiss francs.
