Roche: signs cloud, software deal with Veeva

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche and Veeva on Monday signed a deal under which the Swiss drugmaker will use the cloud-based software maker's services to streamline its clinical, regulatory, and quality processes.

Veeva said the Basel-based company will switch to unified applications to increase efficiency and enhance data quality, while standardising its clinical applications.

Speeding drug development is a strategic priority for drugmakers like Roche, Veeva said.

San Francisco-based Veeva offers cloud solutions for research, regulatory and commercial applications for the life sciences industry. The company's software is used by companies such as Alcon, GSK, Gilead, and Illumina.
