Roche: begins shipping high-volume Covid-19 tests in US
(CercleFinance.com) - Roche has begun shipping the first allotment of its tests for COVID-19 to more than 30 hospital and laboratories across the US to enable high-volume patient testing, the Swiss company said on Monday.
Shipping of an initial 400,000 test kits began last Friday, and will be completed this week, the biopharmaceutical group said.
Roche said it plans to ship an additional 400,000 tests per week to US laboratory testing sites that are set up to run the test immediately.
Due to the spread of the virus, Roche has changed its plans for its Annual General Meeting taking place today, saying that shareholders will not be granted access to the meeting room. This means that voting at the AGM will be by independent proxy only.
