Roche: encouraging data in liver cancer drugs
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Roche announced that phase III data showed that a combination of its Tecentriq and Avastin drugs can extend the lifespan of Chinese liver cancer patients.
The results collected from clinical trials conducted on 194 Chinese patients with hepatocellular carcinoma show a significant improvement in their overall survival rate, as well as their progression-free survival, compared to current standard treatment, the Swiss laboratory said.
Note that almost half of the cases of hepatocellular carcinoma are now listed in China.
This data will be presented tomorrow at the Liver Cancer Summit 2020 congress, which is being held in Prague.
