Roche: Japanese court rules for Chugai in patent dispute
(CercleFinance.com) - A Japanese court has ruled that Roche's hemophilia drug Hemlibra does not infringe a patent held by rival Shire, the Swiss drugmaker said on Wednesday.
Roche said the Tokyo District Court ruled in favour of its local subsidiary Chugai in a patent litigation case against Shire's Baxalta unit.
Roche shares, which are listed on the Swiss SIX Exchange, are currently down 1% this morning despite this good news.
