Roche: subsidiary obtains new approval in Japan.
(CercleFinance.com) - Chugai, a Japanese subsidiary of Roche, has obtained a new approval for its drug Actemra from the Japanese health authorities.
This is dedicated to the fight against Horton's disease, an inflammatory disease that is characterised by inflammation of the blood vessels, especially arteries located at the temples (temporal arteries).
Approval by the Japanese authorities came after the results of two Phase III clinical trials - one conducted by Chugai and the other by Roche.
Actemra had already been granted orphan drug status for LVV (vascularity of large blood vessels).
