Novartis: shareholders vote to increase dividend
(CercleFinance.com) - At a general meeting today Novartis' shareholders approved all resolutions proposed by the Board of Directors, including a new dividend increase.
The 26th consecutive increase in the dividend since Novartis' creation in 1996 was approved, i.e. a payment of 3.20 Swiss francs per share, up 3%.
The 2022 annual dividend will be paid from 13 March, based on a free cash flow payout ratio of approximately 61%, representing a dividend yield of 4%.
The shareholders also re-elected Joerg Reinhardt as chairman of the board of directors, as well as all board members seeking re-election, for one year.
