Novartis: tightens up forecast ranges for 2020
(CercleFinance.com) - Novartis has tightened up its forecast ranges for continuing operations in 2020, projecting single-digit net sales growth "expected to grow mid-single digit" and "core operating income expected to grow low double digit".
The Swiss pharmaceutical group reported second quarter core EPS of 1.36 dollar, with core operating income of 3.7 billion dollars, up 1% as reported and up 6% at constant currencies (cc).
Net sales reached 11.3 billion dollars, down 4% as reported and 1% at cc, with the five-point increase in volume offset by price erosion and the negative impact of generic competition.
