Novartis: raises FY targets
(CercleFinance.com) - Novartis has raised its forecasts for 2019 for new drug company, targeting the top of its single-digit sales growth target range (at constant exchange rates) and a double-digit increase in core operating income in the upper half of its target range (at constant exchange rates).
The Swiss healthcare group posted Q3 net income from continuing operations of 2 billion dollars, up 12% at constant exchange rates, with core operating income of 3.7 billion dollars, up 18% at constant exchange rates.
At close to 12.2 billion dollars, net sales from continuing operations increased by 13% at constant exchange rates, boosted by its flagship drugs Cosentyx (+27%) and Entresto (+61%), as well as Zolgensma, Lutathera and Piqray.
