Novartis: Alcon hopes to impress at upcoming congress.
(CercleFinance.com) - Alcon, Novartis' struggling eye care unit, said on Monday that it will introduce certain innovations in cataract surgery at a congress that is due to start later this week.
The business said it plans to present Clareon, an intraocular lens with an automated, disposable, pre-loaded delivery system, at the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) congress taking place from 7 to 11 October in Lisbon.
In addition, Alcon will deliver 18 scientific abstracts and over 10 satellite events covering its latest innovations in cataract, refractive and glaucoma surgery.
