Roche: buys mobile diabetes platform mySugr.

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche is set to buy mobile diabetes platform mySugr, with which the drugmaker has been collaborating since 2014.

The Swiss company said on Friday that it has acquired all of mySugr's shares, with the group having over one million users globally.

The startup, which was founded in 2012 in Vienna, Austria, will become an integral part of Roche's new patient-centered digital health services platform in diabetes care.

Roche said the acquisition will enable the group to expand its leading position in the area of diabetes management.

mySugr, which is now based in San Diego and Vienna, has 47 employees altogether. The mySugr App is available in 52 countries and 13 languages.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
