Zurich: launches new digital unit to attract more clients
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss insurer Zurich is launching a new unit to expand digital services and attract additional clients, the company said on Wednesday.
The so-called "Global Business Platforms" unit will be headed by current APAC CEO Jack Howell, the group said.
Ericson Chan will spearhead the planning, development and operation of the technology functions and online ecosystems as the newly appointed chief information and digital officer.
He is currently CEO of Ping An Technology, an expert in facial recognition, voiceprint recognition, and medical image AI reading.
Zurich also said that it is appointing Kathleen Savio, currently CEO North America, to the newly created role of chief transformation officer, effective from 2021.
