Zurich Insurance: launches share buyback program
(CercleFinance.com) - Zurich Insurance Group has announced the launch, as from 11 April, of its share repurchase program for up to 1.
74 million shares, with all the required regulatory approvals having been obtained.
The Swiss insurer specifies that its board of directors intends to ask at the group's AGM of 2019 to reduce the group's share capital by cancelling the shares bought back under this program.
The trading of the shares on a second line, created for this program on Wednesday, will last no later than 31 December 2018. Zurich Insurance reserves the right to terminate share repurchases at any time.
