Zurich: confirms 2017-2019 targets at investor day.
(CercleFinance.com) - Zurich confirmed on Wednesday that it was on track to achieve its financial targets for 2017-2019 at its annual investor day in London.
The Swiss insurer said last summer that it was aiming to report post-tax operating profit return on equity (ROE) of over 12%, with cumulative cost savings of 1.5 billion dollars by 2019.
Zurich - which is making a series of presentations to update investors and analysts on the progress of the strategy for 2017 to 2019 - said it also intends to sharpen customer focus, simplify its organisation and reduce volatility.
Zurich shares are currently down 0.5% at 297.3 Swiss francs on Zurich's SMI index.
