Syngenta: trading of ADS suspended today
(CercleFinance.com) - Syngenta today will file a form with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) to voluntarily delist its American Depositary Shares (ADS) from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Swiss agrochemicals maker said on Monday.
While the delisting will not become effective until 18 January, NYSE has advised Syngenta that it will suspend trading of the ADS before the market opens today, the firm added.
This means that holders of ADS will not be able to trade their shares on the NYSE thereafter.
The process follows Syngenta's merger with Chinese peer ChemChina, which was completed last summer.
Syngenta shares were last traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange last Friday.
