Syngenta: ChemChina's stake now over 98%.
(CercleFinance.com) - ChemChina's participation in Syngenta has exceeded 98% of the group's share capital following the purchase of additional shares, the Swiss agrochemicals maker said on Tuesday.
As a result, ChemChina has filed a petition with the court to cancel the remaining Syngenta shares that are not held by ChemChina or its affiliates.
Holders of these shares will be entitled to receive the offer price of 465 dollars per Syngenta share following completion of the court proceedings.
At the same time, Syngenta will apply for de-listing of its shares from the Swiss SIX Exchange, to soon become effective following the court's decision.
