Barry Callebaut: FY dividend up sharply.

(CercleFinance.com) - Barry Callebaut shareholders will indeed be spoilt.

Following the group's Wednesday morning publication of its non-calendar fiscal year 2016/2017 results, the Zurich trader in cocoa products, will offer remuneration of 20 Swiss francs per share, compared with 15.5 Swiss francs at the end of the previous fiscal year.

For its fiscal year to end-August Barry Callebaut reported earnings of 302.9 million Swiss francs, up 38.3% and up 39.6% in local currencies, including recurrent earnings of 284.8 million Swiss francs (+31.3%).
Meanwhile, EBIT came in at 488.2 million Swiss francs, up 21.5% and up 22.3% in local currencies, including recurrent EBIT of 470.1 million Swiss francs (+17.8%).

Revenues reached 6.8 billion Swiss francs, up 1.9% and up 1.2% in local currencies, while sales volumes rose by 4.4%, significantly outpacing its market.
