Valeant: announces sale of Inova for 930 million dollars.
(CercleFinance.com) - There is a major deal ahead for Valeant, with its share expected to rise sharply on Wall Street today, after the group announced the sale of iNova Pharmaceuticals for 930 million dollars in cash.
The private equity firms Pacific Equity Partners and Carlyle Group will buy the stake in iNova, which markets a broad range of pharmaceutical products, including pain-killers, drugs against coughs, or heart control.
This deal is expected to be finalised in H2. Income from the sale will be spent on reducing the Canadian group's debt.
