Bombardier: selects Sweden for train innovation centre
(CercleFinance.com) - Canadian train maker Bombardier said on Tuesday that it would base its global innovation centre for railway and e-mobility in Vasteras, Sweden.
The company said that Sweden is the "ideal" location to develop next generation energy-efficient electric propulsion systems, as Swedish lithium-ion battery maker Northvolt also has a research and development location in this town, which is located west of Stockholm.
Bombardier's new technology centre inauguration is planned for 2023.
