Bombardier: to supply 20 trams for Karlsruhe
(CercleFinance.com) - Canadian plane and train manufacturer Bombardier has signed a 87 million euro contract to supply 20 trams to the city and region of Karlsruhe, southwest Germany, the company said on Monday.
Bombardier Transportation received an order from Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft, the transport company of the Alb valley region, for the delivery of 20 further dual-system Flexity trams, it said.
This third order is based on a framework agreement for a total of 75 vehicles from 2009. The vehicles will be delivered between May 2020 and March 2021.
