Bombardier: names ex-GE executive as aerospace COO
(CercleFinance.com) - Canada's Bombardier on Wednesday named a former GE Power executive as the chief operating officer of its struggling aerospace division.
Effective as of 15 September, Danny Di Perna will assume responsibility for leading the company's aerospace engineering, procurement and transformation functions.
Di Perna was most recently vice-president of global sourcing at GE Power. Prior to that, he held a senior management positions at United Technologies, Pratt & Whitney and Air Canada.
Also note that Bombardier yesterday opened a new high-tech laboratory in Mannheim, Germany, for its transportation business, which is faring better now.
