Bombardier: reaches deal with Unifor union for Toronto plant

(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier has reached a collective bargaining agreements with over 2,100 workers represented by the Unifor union at its site in Toronto, the Canadian aerospace company said on Monday.


The three-year contracts for both Unifor locals include wage increases, as well as enhancements to dental benefits, pension increases, and a retirement incentive program, Unifor said.

Bombardier's Toronto engineering and research and development facility is home to a 24/7 customer support centre. Employees at the site also assemble the Q400 turboprop airliner, and the Global 5000, Global 5500, Global 6000, Global 6500 and Global 7500 business jets.
