Bombardier: adjusts 2018 guidance after C Series deal
(CercleFinance.com) - Canadian plane and train manufacturer Bombardier cut its revenue guidance on Friday, mainly to reflect the de-consolidation of the C Series jetliner program to Airbus.
The company said it expected 2018 revenues in a range of 16.5 billion to 17 billion dollars, as C Series revenues will no longer be consolidated in its financial results.
However, full-year consolidated EBIT is expected to increase to between 900 million dollars to 1 billion dollars as C Series costs will no longer weigh on its results.
Bombardier and Airbus have agreed to close the C Series deal on 1 July, after receiving all the necessary regulatory approvals, ahead of the original schedule.
