Bombardier: contract with SNCF
(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier Transport reported this Wednesday that it has received an order for 32 double-deck OMNEO Premium trains (256 cars) from SNCF for the Centre-Loire Valley, following an agreement entered into with the State on 19 January for three Intercity lines or 'Trains d'Equibilibre du Territoire (TET)'.
This exercise of options comes to a value of around 375 million euros and fits in with the contract signed with SNCF in 2010 to provide up to 860 double-deck trains to French regions.
The Centre-Loire Valley plans to roll out these new trains on the very frequently used lines of Paris-Orléans-Tours, Paris-Bourges and Paris-Montargis-Nevers. The first trains will be delivered in 2020 and then progressively in 2022.
