BlackBerry: unveils new enterprise of things platform
(CercleFinance.com) - Canadian technology group BlackBerry made a string of announcements on Wednesday at the company's security summit in London.
In particular, BlackBerry has unveiled BlackBerry Spark, an enterprise of things (EoT) platform designed for the so-called ultra-secure hyperconnectivity.
In a hospital, BlackBerry's platform can trigger an alert to the right medical team when a patient's heartbeat slows down, and simultaneously prepare the patient's room for emergency care, the IT group said.
BlackBerry has also entered into a partnership with Check Point Software Technologies, including joint go-to-market planning and selling of mobile threat defense software.
BlackBerry boasted a growing partner ecosystem, with its number of partners having grown by 25% over the last year and 140 new channel partners that have joined its enterprise partner program over the last quarter.
