BlackBerry: Q2 above estimates

(CercleFinance.com) - Unveiled on Wednesday before Wall Street opened, BlackBerry's Q2 results included a 52 cent per share loss, against a previous loss of 22 cents per share a year earlier.


However, excluding extraordinary items, the group posted EPS of 3 cents, while the consensus was expecting almost zero.

Although down significantly, revenues fell by less than expected, declining from 289 million to 226 million dollars, while the consensus was expecting 212.2 million dollars.

BlackBerry targets positive FY EPS, while revenue is expected to be in a range of 920 million to 950 million dollars.
