Ageas: completes share buyback program
(CercleFinance.com) - Ageas announces that on 3 August it completed its share buyback program which it announced almost a year ago (9 August 2017).
Under the plan it has repurchased 4,772,699 shares, representing 2.35% of total outstanding shares, for a total of 200 million euros.
The 1,924,024 shares that have been repurchased as of 31 December 2017, which were cancelled in May, mean that Ageas currently holds 2,704,795 shares, taking into account the reduction in shares used for the share plans awarded to senior management.
At the group's next meeting, its Board of Directors will offer to cancel the repurchased shares, minus the shares intended to cover commitments relating to the share plans awarded to senior management members.
