Umicore: record results and looking for a new CEO
(CercleFinance.com) - Umicore has announced, "record profits in an unprecedented environment," boosted by "an exceptional PGM price environment".
The Belgian metal recycling and production company's adjusted net profit (group share) rose to 322 million euros (+3%), while adjusted EPS reached 1.34 euro (+3%).
While sales declined by 4% to 3.2 billion euros, adjusted EBITDA rose by 7% to 804 million euros.
Umicore also proposes a gross annual dividend of 0.75 euro, of which 0.25 euro was already paid in August 2020.
Finally, the company is preparing the succession of its CEO, saying that its Board of Directors will take the necessary time to identify a successor who can build on this solid foundation and take Umicore to the next stage of its development.
Despite all this, the share is currently flat in Brussels.
