GBL: in talks to buy Webhelp group
(CercleFinance.com) - GBL (Groupe Bruxelles Lambert) states that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to take a controlling interest in Webhelp group, a global provider of business process & customer experience outsourcing (BPO).
Since its acquisition by KKR in 2015, Webhelp group has doubled in size and aims to achieve revenues of 1.5 billion euros this year. It has 50,000 employees distributed over more than 35 countries.
The Belgian investment holding company would take a controlling interest in the capital based on a business valuation of 2.4 billion euros. The legal papers are anticipated to be signed at the beginning of August, to finalise the deal in Q4.
