Agfa-Gevaert: signs graphics alliance with China's Lucky
(CercleFinance.com) - Belgian imaging technology group Agfa-Gevaert has signed a strategic alliance with China's Lucky HuaGuang to expand into the graphics pre-press market, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
Both companies will work together on manufacturing, technology and distribution of graphic pre-press products and services, Agfa said.
Under the collaboration, Lucky HuaGuang will provide manufacturing capacity for printing plates in China, using Agfa Graphics' technology and intellectual property to manufacture products for Agfa.
The deal is mainly aimed at China, where Agfa and Lucky plan to set up a joint venture combining their pre-press distribution activities in the country.
Agfa and Lucky said that they intend to expand their cooperation in other areas in the future.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
